Making the Best First Impression

EDN recently held a workshop on how to make the best first impression, a topic that is of high importance to all entrepreneurs. Participants were invited to share their ideas and to learn new ones while the facilitator, Joe Lang, took participants through a list of 17 critical ideas for making the best first impression possible. Afterall, you never get a second chance to make a first impression.

The 17 points covered were:
  • Attire
  • Grooming
  • Smile
  • Eye contact
  • Mirroring
  • Body language
  • Confidence
  • Positivity
  • Listening
  • Manners
  • Compliments
  • Punctuality
  • Small talk
  • Posture
  • Being yourself
  • Tone of voice
  • Being prepared

    The first ever comment on EDN's new blog!
    (But I am sure there are lots of readers - although maybe not as many who are able to produce a profile such as those listed. Including an Anonymous profile selection would maybe help.)

    I would like a copy of the notes from the first impressions workshop. Sorry I couldn't make it to the workshop in person.
