Happy Holidays!

Every year EDN hosts a holiday social for our members and friends and this year for the first time, we worked together with CEED and hosted a holiday social for all of our members, clients, staff, and friends. The social was held on Tuesday December 15th, and was attended by close to 100 people! Guests were treated to great food, great entertainment, and of course, great company!

Making the Best First Impression

EDN recently held a workshop on how to make the best first impression, a topic that is of high importance to all entrepreneurs. Participants were invited to share their ideas and to learn new ones while the facilitator, Joe Lang, took participants through a list of 17 critical ideas for making the best first impression possible. Afterall, you never get a second chance to make a first impression.

The 17 points covered were:

• Manners

• Small talk
• Posture

Upcoming Coffee Talk!

Do you want to attract more media attention for your business? Are you wondering what a media release is, and how to use it? Do you have tips for others on how to deal with the media? Join EDN member Anna Quon for a discussion about the media and your business.


The coffee talk will run from 2:00-4:00pm on December 4, 2009 at the Canada/ Nova Scotia Business Service Centre (1575 Brunswick Street).

The Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Network provides inspiration, support, and networking to help people with disabilities turn dreams of owning a business into reality.


EDN is the provincial authority on issues related to entrepreneurs with disabilities. We celebrate success stories and showcase the achievements of our entrepreneurs.
